One of the trending jobs in 2025 is energy management. As a career network, LinkedIn quickly knows when users change jobs. The platform has analyzed which job titles in Germany have gained the most traction over the last three years. This resulted in a list of 25 “Jobs in Trend 2025”.
For this list, the LinkedIn Economic Graph team analyzed which jobs network members took on between January 1, 2022, and July 31, 2024. Not all job changes were included: “To be considered in the ranking, a position had to show positive growth among all LinkedIn members, have enough job postings in the past year, and reach a significant size by 2024”. Interim positions and jobs for students were excluded from the analysis, and some job titles were combined.
LinkedIn’s analysis shows a variety of job trends. Besides more general positions like Business Process Owner or Chief of Staff, there are also very specific jobs in the list, such as quality engineers for suppliers and aircraft mechanics. Also, roles like restaurant managers, flight attendants, travel consultants, and event marketing managers appeared frequently in LinkedIn statistics over the last three years.
In the IT sector, developers for platforms, cybersecurity, simulation models, and AI were in demand according to LinkedIn. Information security officers, IT integration specialists, requirements managers, and application managers also found a place in trending jobs.
In the insurance and finance sector, LinkedIn lists treasury managers, audit managers, financial services managers, and underwriters. Energy managers, sustainability managers, and transformation managers aim to prepare companies for the future.
Finally, LinkedIn lists specialists for HR development and employer branding, as all jobs, whether trending or not, need to be filled by competent people.
