Minds Mastering Machines 2025: Exploring Machine Learning and AI Innovations

MachineLearning : Minds Mastering Machines 2025: Exploring Machine Learning and AI Innovations

The Minds Mastering Machines 2025 conference is scheduled for May 20 and 21. This is the eighth edition of the machine learning conference organized by iX and dpunkt.verlag, and it is returning to Karlsruhe this year. Since 2018, the Minds Mastering Machines has been a specialized conference beyond the AI hype for data scientists, data engineers, and developers who are working on making machine learning projects a reality. Attendees will gain deep insights into machine learning concepts, current developments, and challenges in AI projects.

In recent months, Generative AI (GenAI) has significantly transformed the working world. Large Language Models (LLMs) and similar technologies represent just the tip of the iceberg. For businesses, AI still largely involves training neural networks and applying traditional machine learning methods.

The conference program features around 30 presentations over two days, organized into three tracks. Topics include:

  • Generative AI: Current research trends and their implications
  • Classic Machine Learning – The unsung heroes of everyday life
  • Let LLMs do the work: Introduction to agent systems
  • Clinical decision-making with AlphaFold and graph neural networks
  • LLM Security: The OWASP list of attack vectors
  • Analyzing data quickly and easily with DuckDB

Tickets for the Minds Mastering Machines conference are available at an early bird price of 1099 euros until April 1 (plus 19% VAT). The workshop “RAGeten and GPTs ready – building a travel agent for the universe” is priced at 649 euros. Additional workshops are being planned. There are also discounted combination tickets for the conference and workshop, and group discounts for three or more attendees.

An online theme day focused on LLMs in business will take place on March 12. This event will demonstrate how LLMs operate, how they can be expanded with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), and how agent systems work.

The online theme day will include an introduction to LLMs and detailed presentations on RAG systems, document preprocessing, and agent systems. Attendees will learn how to create a sample application, covering everything from data extraction to choosing the embedding model and implementation.

Early bird tickets for the online theme day are available until February 19 for 249 euros.
